Spring Collection 2004
 from Suzanne's Watercolors

"A Garden Opening" is the perfect theme for this spring watercolor gallery,
chosen to reflect the emerging excitement of new growth, vibrant colors and
floral diversity that graces our gardens in spring. The paintings in this gallery
were created for a spring show at the North Carolina Arboretum in Asheville,
NC., one of the loveliest gardens in the mountains.

All limited edition reproductions are signed and numbered by the artist, and
printed on "Somerset Velvet" archival watercolor paper. They are unmatted for cost effective shipping.

"Redoute Style Iris I"

Pierre-Joseph Redoute was an early botanical study artist, usually painting
against a white background, emphasizing the perfect detail of the plant.
I enjoy the challenge of painting rich colors and shapes in the Redoute style, to enhance the simple beauty of the iris.

"Tuscan Sunflowers"

This is one of my favorite Italian pottery vases. The sunflowers looked so good in it that I just had to capture all that color in a painting. The lemons and artichoke pull some of that rich color through the composition, while adding more of the Italian "flavor".

"About Reproductions from Suzanne's Watercolors"
All of the reproductions from Suzanne's Studio are called Giclee prints, and are high quality fine art reproductions of original watercolor paintings. The vibrant hues and subtle gradations of color in the original work retain a beautiful painterly quality, when this digital printmaking process is used. All papers are 100% cotton, acid free and have been selected to best enhance the artwork. Reproductions on artist canvas have a matte finish, "canvas" look without bleeding, and won't crack when stretched.  Limited edition prints are signed and numbered, and are accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
Posters are on Photo Quality Paper.
